Baby Specialists - This is the professional specialist whose experience, expertise and focus is on newborn care on a full day, sole charge basis.
Night Nurses - we supply night nurses on a short term or long term basis i.e. from 1 week to 3/6 months for newborns or for parents with little ones with disrupted sleep patterns.
Tutors come to your home for an hour or two every day, bi or tri-weekly to provide tutoring to your child/children on a "one-on-one" basis or could assist with general homework, projects, exam preparation or specific subjects.
Special Needs Placements: Through the years we have become more involved in special needs placements of various kinds:
1. Learner Facilitators within the school system
We have placed facilitators in many schools around Cape Town since inclusive education was introduced.
A Learner Facilitator within the school system assists the individual student with special needs, learning difficulties and/or behavioural issues to cope in a mainstream classroom setting. The Learner Facilitator focuses on the pupil's needs on a daily basis to support, guide and assist the pupil towards reaching their potential, to integrate socially, to gain self confidence and independence.
We have worked together with special-need departments and teachers in top schools as well as the parents of pupils with difficulties.
2. We also place Home-school Teachers with family's that have chosen this option.
3. Special needs Au pairs/Tutors have a passion and interest in working with children who have difficulties and work in the home environment
Consultation Services:
We offer a home visit to assess your family needs at a fee of R400. We will assess your overall household management requirements, assist with individual family/personal requirements. Should you make a placement through Au Pair at Home, we will waiver the R400 fee.
